Film Friday 3

Snap. I almost forgot about today. Due to extreme exhaustion and laziness, I won't go into this movie too much. I discovered Acceptance last year on the Lifetime Movie Network. It stars Mae Whitman, and I'll be honest, that's the sole reason why I wanted to see it. (Have I mentioned that I really like her?) She plays a high schooler named Taylor Rockefeller, who is going through the college acceptance process as well as personal problems at home. I fell in love with the movie instantly because I saw myself in so many ways. Picking the right college is harder than anyone could imagine, and if anyone tells you it's easy, they are lying their butts off. Heck, I've been out of high school over a year, and I still don't know what I'm doing or where that might be. Aside from the school pressures, I felt connected to Taylor because her personal struggles strongly resembled my own. No, I won't go into them now because, A) see above, and B) I don't think I'm quite ready to have such private and embarrassing secrets out in the open. One day I might post my journal-ish entry I wrote right after watching Acceptance the first time. It's pure, insightful, uncensored, completely open. A window straight to my heart and mind, and a soul baring work, if you will.

As of right now, it doesn't look like Accceptance is airing in the next two weeks on t.v, but keep an eye out for it. Or go out and buy it. Definately worth seeing!

God bless. :)
