Tune Tuesday 5

Sorry I didn't post anything last week. I was on vacation and out of internet range, which wouldn't have mattered anyway since I didn't have any new songs or movies to share with you. Even today, I'm grasping at straws to find something to write about. I'm still listening to Graveyard Song, Gardenia, and Mean. Although I heard about a million songs while I was away, none of them really spoke to me. But don't worry, I won't leave you with nothing. I'll give you a song even if I didn't put much thought into it.

As I was watching a country music t.v station, a 'behind the music video' show came on. It covered Martina McBride's new hit: Teenage Daughters. I love Martina. She has such a powerful voice and very meaningful songs. Do you remember Concrete Angel? Oh yeah. Big tear jerker there. I still get choked up when I hear it, but I digress. When she wrote this song, she thought more moms would be in love with it, but it turns out more actual teenagers feel a connection to it. Either way, I think it's a very sweet and true song. The video, by the way, is amazing. Martina's real daughters are in it, and you can tell they're related and had a lot of fun.

Ok, so I guess I did put some thought into this one, and didn't just grab it out of thin air. I hope you enjoy the song. And video!

God bless.
